The role

Based in Truro, Cornwall (UK), you will hit the ground running as both a desk editor and a figurehead for the brand, responsible for coordinating and delivering content across the portfolios digital and print platforms.

This position is a great opportunity for an experienced editor or journalist to take up the challenge in B2B publishing – and be at the forefront of the clean energies transition.

It’s also an opportunity to travel and see the world as part of the journey! International travel is a necessity in any normal year for this role and post-Covid, you will be required to attend and report on global events, as they undertake business trips to visit and interview companies all over the world.

Directly reporting to the group's Global Managing Editor, you will be responsible for strategising and overseeing content for the title and a brand champion for the publication globally.

The role of the Editor will involve:

  • Planning and managing the content and production of the print magazine
  • Regularly uploading content to the website
  • Mandatory travel commitments geared around attendance of flagship events and invaluable client site visits (relationship building)
  • Generating must-read, value-added content from own research, writing and sourced comments, and contributing to the business’ target to grow its paid-for subscriber base
  • Establishing great professional relationships both within the industry and with the Editorial Advisory Board
  • Working closely with the publishing and sales teams to maximise the reach – and revenues – of the title
  • Contributing to brand event themes and agendas, and playing your part in representing the brand at these events (whether in-person or virtually)
  • Not just being the Editor, but being seen as the Editor and a focal point for the brand – from your insightful columns and content to your on-screen presence via our TV platform and as a voice across our popular social media channels.
